Great place for a friends getaway - 5 out of 5 stars

"The house is great. We had four couples and there was plenty of space. Also right on the Blue River (excellent fly fishing), and walkway to get into town was a short walk."

Housekeeping inconsistent - 4 out of 5 stars

"While our overall impression of Blue River Chalet was positive, there were some odd inconsistencies that detracted from the experience. There were no washcloths to be found among the supplied linens when we arrived. Kitchen dishtowels were minimally supplied. We scheduled a mid-stay cleaning (which with a 3-week stay was included in our fee). The cleaners failed to appear on the appointed day, but re-scheduled for the following day. After they were there (cleaning was done well) we discovered we now had an oversupply of wash cloths, but zero dishtowels! We also purchased a fan to help muffle the road noise from Highway 9, which was particularly noticeable in the upstairs master bedroom. On the positive side, the home had plenty of room, we enjoyed the hot tub, the sound of the Blue River, access to the recpath, and proximity to the Library and Rainbow Park. Some owls had babies while we were there, and getting to see the adults upclose was a real treat, especially for our grandchildren."

Excellent stay in a great condo - 5 out of 5 stars

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue River Chalet. The condo is very spacious and accommodated our group of 8 comfortably. We loved the deck with its great view and the hot tub was so nice. The condo was clean and well stocked with many small kitchen appliances. We enjoyed the Belgian waffle maker! The location on the bike path was fantastic for our family. We would love to stay here again. "

Fantastic House! - 5 out of 5 stars

"We loved every minute we spent in this house. The accessible, bike-friendly trailhead is right behind the backyard. There is a nice bbq on the upper deck and the hot tub on the lower deck is simply divine. The view from the Master Bedroom stunningly takes in the Rockies and from behind the trees and river. Noise from the street is minimal at best. Communication with the management company was perfect throughout."

Amazing home with amazing views! - 5 out of 5 stars

"Our family of 13 stayed here for our trip. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. The home itself was clean when we arrived and was big enough to fit all of us comfortably and had everything we needed. Someone even called us to make sure we settled in well and to ask if we needed anything. We used both the bbq pit and hot tub and both worked well! They had sleds in the garage that we were able to enjoy during our stay and there was a nice trail behind the house that we really enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to the area. "

Awesome week! - 5 out of 5 stars

"This place not only lived up to our expectations, but exceeded them. The pictures we saw on the VRBO site matched our experience. We used this as our home base for a week's worth of activity in Summit County. The 5 spacious bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths provided us with great lodging options for our large family (parents, two boys rooms and two girls rooms). The place was clean when we arrived, with plenty of linens and a kitchen with plenty of plates, silverware, glasses, pans, bowls, and utensils. There is a full sized washer/dryer in a laundry room. There is a two car garage that fit one of our vehicles plus our 5 bikes and other outdoor equipment. We could fit two vehicles in the driveway in front of us, so parking 3 vehicles here was no problem. There are 5 additional surface parking for residents/guests, but those are shared with 7 other units, so I can't speak for how crowded that would be during winter season. I can't say enough good things about the location. It's right on the main strip of Silverthorne, with easy access to the town and shops about a mile away. However, it's also on the north end so it's on the outskirts and the traffic in front of the place wasn't bad. There is a little road noise, but a large privacy fence helps with that. This place backs right up to the Blue River Trail system, so we were able to easily walk into town numerous times for a Starbucks and Chipotle (and more). We could hear the Blue River while enjoying the cool mountain air while sitting on the upper deck or in the hot tub on the lower deck. The kids LOVED the hot tub, but be careful. One of our party got a good bout of altitude sickness after jumping in the hot tub a couple hours after arriving. The fisherman in our family was disappointed to learn the river directly in back is private water, but there is public fishing access on the Blue River just a short walk south. If you're going to fish, be certain to look up the public access points. I found a good map on the Silverthorne city website. Our kids made use of the Silverthorne Recreation Center, which was an easy walk. We have Olympic lifters and crossfit trainers in our family -- they found this place more than adequate for their training. The kids LOVED the rec center pool, slide, and climbing wall. The rec center has a punch card that most families would find useful, but it was cheaper for our family to get a one month family pass for $118 (as of July 2018)."

Brian - AirBNB - 5 out of 5 stars

"Very nice condo, convenient to the various Summit County attractions. Great deck and hot tub! Only complaints were a few things that were broken/not working as they should be, but those were fairly minor inconveniences compared to the great location, and the cleanliness and spaciousness of the condo overall. "
