The Summit County Recreation Path offering views, and altitude, will take your breath away. The Dillon section is plowed for use in the winter as well as summer. This path connects all towns and resorts and is just out your front door. This is in addition to the National Forests available for XC skiing, snowshoeing and hiking or biking. Even ice fishing is available in winter on Lake Dillon. The summer Marina and Tiki Bar are just a short stroll along the waterfront. Dillon Marina has pontoon and sailboats for rent as well as stand up paddle-boards (SUPs) and kayaks. From there take a gentle walk up to Marina Park and the new $8 million Dillon Amphitheater with summer concerts from June through September. Take a short walk from there to a brewpub, restaurants, parks and shops. Each Friday from June to September add the Farmer’s Market to your walk. When the market is not available you’ll find an easy drive to supermarket, REI, Starbucks, sporting goods stores and the Silverthorne Factory Outlets.
